Landrou Georgios is a postdoctoral researcher at the Ultrafast Laser Micro and Nano Processing Laboratory in the Institute of Electronic Structure & Laser (IESL) at the Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (FORTH) in Heraklion, Crete. He received his PhD in chemistry from the Department of Chemistry at the University of Crete, where he developed extensive expertise in the synthesis, modification, and characterization of chromophores, including Porphyrins and Carbon Dots, for energy and medical applications. He also gained significant experience in photocatalytic and electrocatalytic systems focused on hydrogen evolution and CO₂ reduction. During his PhD, he received scholarships from the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) (2018–2021) and the Independent Power Transmission Operator (IPTO) (2020–2021). Additionally, he completed an internship as a Graduate Research Assistant at Aix-Marseille University. His current research interests include synthesizing materials, such as Perovskites and Upconversion materials, with applications in energy storage and sensing.
