InComEss: “Innovative polymer-based composite systems for high-efficient energy scavenging and storage”
This project is focused on developing efficient smart materials with energy harvesting and storage capabilities combining advanced polymer based-composite materials into a novel single/multi-source concept to harvest electrical energy from mechanical energy and/or waste heat ambient sources. In particular, the role of FORTH focuses on probing the charge carrier dynamics within the developed thermoelectric composite polymers by means of ultrafast laser Transient Absorption Spectroscopy (TAS) under various atmosphere and temperature conditions.
