In line with the European Green Deal, the goal of Gr-Pero2LiBs is to achieve high-energy density lithium-ion batteries with long cycling life-time, by developing a, higher than graphite, specific capacity anode with green and cost-competitive materials. The working-prototype proposed in Gr-Pero2LiBs will be achieved by an approach covering the whole fabrication chain starting from secured access to materials to eco-design and manufacturing of price-competitive LiBs. In particular, an one-step, cost-efficient and low-temperature process will be implemented for the production of conjugated systems (lead-free perovskite-2D materials) as electrode materials taking advantage of the synergetic effects across the interfacial connections to reach capacity ranging 600-700 mAh/g, coulombic efficiency close to 100 % and long-term stability (> 1000 cycles).
