Styliani Markogiannaki

Styliani Markogiannaki (Stella) is a PhD candidate in the Department of Physics at the University of Crete, Greece, and the Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser (IESL) at FORTH, Heraklion, Crete. In 2021,she received her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics from the University of Crete, Greece. In 2024, she received her Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Photonics from the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany. Her Master’s thesis focused on Direct Glass-to-Metal Ultrafast Laser Welding. Between June 2022 and April 2024, she worked as an academic research assistant at the Institute of Applied Physics in Jena, Germany, in the Ultrafast Optics Group. Her current research interests include ultrafast laser processing and beam-shaping technology.
