Eleni Agapaki (ORCID: 0000-0003-4403-8302) is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser (IESL) at FORTH. She received her Bachelor degree as well as her Master degree, in the department of Chemistry – University of Crete. During her studies, she completed an internship at FAU University in Nuremberg, Germany, where she focused on photon and charge management for solar energy conversion and storage. Her previous research involved synthesizing and characterizing macromolecules that were used for photocatalytic hydrogen production, as well as in thermocatalytic processes for biomass valorization to high added value chemicals. Her primary research interests include the synthesis and laser diagnostics of composite glasses and energy-harvesting materials for advanced applications in photonics, optoelectronics, thermoelectrics, and photovoltaics.
